NFL DRAFT

So the NFL draft was last week and you could say it all went pretty much as planned. The Top Five draft picks were made by the Rams, who got the number one pick by trading, the Eagles, who got number two pick by a big trade as well, the Chargers, the Cowboys, and then the Jaguars. The Rams picked up Jared Goff who should be a good QB for the Rams. Next the Eagles who really needed a QB got the QB from North Dakota State Carson Wentz. Can not wait to see what he can do this upcoming year for the Eagles. Then the Chargers got a great pick with Joey Bosa. After that the scary pick happened, if you thought DeMarco Murray was good with the Cowboy's offensive line, just wait until you see Ezekiel Elliot behind them. And then of course will be way in front of them. Then finally to end our top five the Jaguars picked up a great CB, Jalen Ramsey. He has a lot of talent that can really help the struggling Jaguars.

New Orleans Saints

This blog is in memory of Will Smith. His family and friends are in my prayers. Will Smith even though you played for my little brothers favorite team, I always knew you were the man. You were one of my favorite players in the league. Many looked up to you as a hero and I do not blame them. You changed many people's lives. Your family should be proud. I wish nothing but best of luck to the 2016-2017 Saints. They will always have an extra player looking down from above. I would love to see you guys take home the big trophy.

New York Jets

The New York Jets are in a rough rough spot. They are going through a rough patch in their history. I mean first of all they have seven draft needs, with only six picks. Not to mention they are in one of the hardest divisions in the NFL. It is hard to go anywhere with the Patriots in your division. They go through quaterbacks like nothing. The Jets are just in a big rough patch. But hey they have Brandon Marshall. Oh wait, he is on trial for unspecified damages. A woman is suing him claiming that he punched her while fleeing for his life. All there is left to say is good luck Jets' fans. We wish you the best of luck.

49ers

The Francisco 49ers have had some craziness. With new coach Chip Kelly will Colin Kaepernick play. Colin 6'4" quaterback was not liked last year. Last years stats were not very good. But under new head coach Chip Kelly maybe his up tempo offense will keep him in the league. Although since Denver does not have a quaterback they are very interested in them. In my eyes I believe as a young quaterback that going to the much older Denver Broncos would serve him well. But Chip Kelly's offense is very good for a young fast kid like Colin. I'm glad that Chip is gone from the Eagles though. Maybe he can screw over the 49ers franchise.

New England Patriots

Big news for the Patriots. They now have arguably the top two tight ends in the league together. They have signed former Bears tight end Martellus Bennett. In other news the Patriots also have young guard Jonathan Cooper. The former first round draft pick from the Cardinals. Cooper missed his first season due to a broken leg. Still the big news and I mean big as Martellus is 6 Foot 6 Inches tall and 270 pounds, is now with the Patriots. That gives Tom Brady another big target. This could make them a big offensive team. The Patriots also have a pretty good defense. Could this make a Super Bowl 51 team?

Cleveland Browns

The famous saying "I took the Browns to the Super Bowl" didn't work out this past season. Especially for ex quarterback Johnny Manzel. Johnny football was released by the Browns earlier this week. What will Johnny do now? Well there are rumors. Johnny was a Texas A&M star. There is a NFL team that's in Texas that wants Johnny. That team is the Cowboys. Johnny could do well for the Cowboys considering how Tony Romos season went. Johnny football must keep on good behavior though.

San Diego Chargers

The San Diego Chargers had a really really bad year. They ended the season at four wins and twelve loses. Which put them at the bottom of the AFC West. But hey if you look at the bright side they will get a good draft spot. Third is pretty darn good. So far it is believed that they will pick Notre Dame's Tackle Ronnie Stanley. It would be a good idea to help protect quarterback Phillip Rivers. But maybe the Chargers need help on the defense after just releasing Line-Backer Donald Butler. They also released running back Donald Butler. Many Mock drafts have them picking up Ronnie Stanley, but you never know what will happen.

Baltimore Ravens

Then Baltimore Ravens did have a rough season this year. They ended this season at five wins eleven loses. Since they had such a bad season they get a good draft pick. The NFL combine started so you know every sports station has a mock draft made. In many mock drafts they have Notre Dame Lineman Ronnie Stanley. The Ravens will still have running back Justin Forsett. Joe Flacco's knee is recovering the best any of the doctors have seen. So the Ravens should have quarterback Joe Flacco. This is aslong as coach Harbaugh works with his contract. All in all the Ravens are hoping for a better season than last year.

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears had a rough season. The Bears finished their season at six wins and ten loses. They do have the 11th pick in the draft. Rumor is that they are going to pick up Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith. The Bears definitely need help on the defensive side. But, is it the offensive team that needs the real help? Jay Cutler is trash. Matt Forte might as well not even player this year. The Bears lost all of their receivers. If I was the Bears I would no doubt go for a receiver and next year a new quaterback.

Denver Broncos

So last night the Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50. What won it for them was definitely their defense. I am very glad that Peyton got another Super Bowl win for possibly his last year. I myself was going for Carolina, because who could not love Cam's dab. But like every single person out there can tell you defense wins championships. Carolina had a good defense as well but not as quick as Denvers. You have to give a lot of credit to Von Miller. He went full sack attack on Cam. No doubt deserved the MVP. All in all a great Super Bowl. Except for the Halftime show.

Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons had a great start this year. They started off 5-0. Then in week 6 they lost to New Orleans Saints. In 2008 the same thing happened and New Orleans ended the streak. The Saints also beat them in week 17 this year. All in all the Falcons ended the season 8-8. As of right now though they are the only team that has beat the 2015-2016 Carolina Panthers. The final score was 20-17. This was in week 16. In week 14 the Panthers beat them badly 38-0; week 16 was payback for the Falcons.

The Carolina Panthers

As many of you may know the Carolina Panthers are on their way to Super Bowl 50. Carolina put a beat down on the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship game. In my opinion the Panthers will have the world championship. They have a outstanding defense. Their defense is led by linebacker Luke Kuechly. Luke has already acquired two interceptions in the playoffs. The Panthers also have the dominating offense. The Panthers offense led by the big 6'5" 245 pound quarterback Cam Newton. Cam already has 496 passing yards in the one playoff game that was played. He also has 3 passing touchdowns. Not to mention has a 99.4 QBR this season. So in my eyes I see the Panthers coming out on top.

New Coaches in the NFL

So a lot of teams have found replacements for recently fired coaches. There are now six new NFL head coaches. The Dolphins now have Adam Gase. The Giants have Ben McAdoo. McAdoo was the former offensive coordinator for the giants. The Jets hired Todd Bowles as their new head coach. The Eagles hired Doug Pederson. Pederson is replacing Chip Kelly. Kelly is now the head coach for the 49ers. The Buccaneers hired Dirk Koetter, and finally the Tennessee Titans hired Mike Mularkey.

New York Giants

The New York Giants are hurting. They went 6-10 this season. Third in the NFC East. They've missed the playoffs for five straight seasons. The Giants fired head coach Tom Coughlin. They have hired old offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo. Ben has been working with Eli for many years now and hoping to turn the program and making it to the playoffs. The Giants will be getting a pretty good pick in the draft. Since last season ended pretty bad. Hopefully under a new coach they will have a better season.

The Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles season has ended. The Eagles finished second in the NFC East. They finished with a record of seven wins and nine loses. Before their last game the eagles fired head coach Chip Kelly. Their last game was against NFC East rival, the Giants. Quarterback Sam Bradford had his best QBR (quarterback rating) of the year during that game with out Kelly. The Eagles will have a rough off season as must find a coach and possibly a new quarterback. Only backup quarterback Mark Sanchez has a valid contract. The Eagles will have the twelfth pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Their top senior prospect is quarterback Connor Cook from Michigan State. This is just January though; who knows what will happen from this day on.
